'The Prem ain't ready': Arsenal fans loved what their £45m man did last night
Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey isn’t exactly known for his goal scoring prowess, but he gave Gunners fans a glimpse of what he can do with a fine goal for Ghana yesterday.
Partey dribbled into the area before firing a well struck effort low into the corner to help Ghana on their way to a 3-1 win over Zimbabwe. The former Atletico Madrid man has yet to score for Arsenal yet.
Partey’s effort was one of a number of fine efforts from Arsenal players in international games this weekend. Fellow Gunner, Bukayo Saka, also got himself on the scoresheet for England.
But it was the performance of Partey which caught the eye of Arsenal fans on social media. He played in a more advanced role for his country, a far cry from the defensive midfield job he does in North London.
Arsenal fans, then, were delighted with what they saw from Partey as he notched his goal. Twitter was awash with comments about the goal, with some hoping he can bring a bit of that to the Premier League.
Here’s what some Arsenal fans had to say about Thomas Partey.
If he was wearing an arsenal kit he’s leaning back and sending the ball to Nigeria
