Glasgow Rangers are in Scottish Premiership action on Wednesday evening, with Steven Gerrard’s charges confident of bringing another three points back to Ibrox.
On Saturday, the Gers put their Scottish League Cup defeat behind them with a 3-1 win over Motherwell at Ibrox, though the hosts were made to work hard for their victory.
Wednesday evening sees Gerrard and his men head to St Johnstone, who sit 10th in the Premiership table, have lost their last two games and are winless in five.
So, who could be named in the Rangers starting XI?
The likelihood is that most of the players that featured from the off against Motherwell will be involved at McDiarmid Park as well.
Leon Balogun missed the last game after suffering a head injury against St Mirren and, with no updates since, it looks as though he remains doubtful against the Saints.
This will likely mean a back four of James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Filip Helander and Borna Barisic in front of Allan McGregor.
Scott Arfield had a quiet afternoon last time out so he could potentially be dropped, with Joe Aribo coming in to feature alongside Steven Davis and Glen Kamara.
The 31-year-old, who Gerrard has described as a “talented and competitive midfielder“, has been superb for the most part this season, but could perhaps do with a rest.
Up front, meanwhile, Alfredo Morelos’ return from suspension is likely to see him drafted into the XI ahead of Jermain Defoe and Cedric Itten.
The £1million man is currently on seven goals for the season and can hopefully enjoy a confidence-boosting evening in Perth, with Ryan Kent and Kemar Roofe likely to complete the XI.
