Newcastle kick-off their Premier League campaign this weekend with a tricky away clash at West Ham United.
Steve Bruce will be hoping to build on a decent enough campaign last season and will see the fixture with the Hammers as a winnable game, given their struggles off the field over the summer.
Bruce has done well in the transfer market in recent weeks. He signed Jamal Lewis from Norwich just yesterday, while he completed a double deal for former Bournemouth players Callum Wilson and Ryan Fraser this week as well.

All three will probably go straight into the squad against the Hammers, although whether they will get the start remains to be seen.
Another name who could get their first start is Jeff Hendrick, who arrived on a free from Burnley this summer. However, the positive for Bruce is that he does have options now.
There are, though, a few injury issues. Martin Dubravka will miss the game, as will Dwight Gayle, who faces another spell on the sidelines.
With that, here’s a look at our predicted XI for Newcastle as they travel to West Ham this weekend.
