Manchester City welcome German Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach to The Etihad on Tuesday evening as they look to hold on to their 2-0 first-leg advantage and book their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
City come into the match having earned a 2-0 away win over Marco Rose’s side, thanks to a goal either side of half-time from Bernardo Silva and Gabriel Jesus in Germany. City have continued their form since, though have lost their winning streak.
Since the 2-0 Manchester derby defeat, they have beaten both Southampton and Fulham – scoring eight goals in the process. Even Sergio Aguero finally ended a goal drought that had lasted more than an entire season, netting a penalty at Fulham.
Nathan Ake is back in training and he is also available, but is unlikely to start. Guardiola has done a good job of rotating his squad to give City the best chance of completing the quadruple – an achievement that is still possible.

They remain competitive in the FA Cup and Champions League, the final of the Carabao Cup where they face Spurs and sit clear in the Premier League. Ahead of a crucial clash against Everton in the FA Cup, that rotation must policy must be deployed again.
Fivechanges could occur, reverting to a back four. Fringe players Ferran Torres, Benjamin Mendy and of course, Aguero, were given run outs against Fulham. They could all drop out, as could Aymeric Laporte and Bernardo Silva.
In come Kyle Walker at right-back, meaning Joao Cancelo goes to left-back. In midfield, Rodri and Kevin De Bruyne come in while in attack – Raheem Sterling is fit and should start, as should Phil Foden who starred in the first leg.
