Predicted Everton XI against Liverpool: Last chance saloon for Jordan Pickford

Everton will hope to continue their fine start to the Premier League season when they face local rivals Liverpool this weekend, in what should be a brilliant Merseyside derby.

For the first time in years, the Toffess will – in some people’s eyes – go into the game as favourites.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men have won four out of four this term, while Liverpool enter the game off the back of a 7-2 defeat to Aston Villa and some worrying defensive traits creeping into their game.

Everton should have most of their key men available barring any sort of bad news tonight from the internationals. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has done well with England and should return in high spirits.

The big call for Ancelotti will be whether he sticks with Jordan Pickford. The 26-year-old has made a number of errors already and Robin Olsen was signed before the deadline to increase competition.
