England take on Croatia this afternoon at Wembley Stadium as a nation once again waits with bated breath.
Gareth Southgate’s men will learn from the experiences of the 2018 World Cup, with revenge on Croatia first on the agenda.
The Three Lions have a plethora of attacking talent to choose from this time around and it’ll be interesting to see what team the England boss picks.
Ahead of today’s clash, we looked at the eleven that could be selected by the England boss.
Goalkeeper and back four
Jordan Pickford has done little wrong in the white of England and should get the nod in goal.
At right-back there is much debate but after winning the La Liga title with Atletico Madrid, Kieran Trippier should get the nod.

The left-back slot looks like a toss of a coin. Both Ben Chilwell and Luke Shaw have enjoyed strong campaigns. The Manchester United man might just earn a start though.
At centre-back, Harry Maguire looks like losing his race to be fit.
Therefore, Southgate will perhaps go with Brighton defender Ben White to partner John Stones at the heart of the England defence.
Midfield
Declan Rice has been in sensational form for West Ham and will almost certainly start.
The £140,000-a-week Jordan Henderson is very much England’s main man in midfielder and the boss must decide if he’s fit to start.
Kalvin Phillips will also compete for a place but will probably start on the bench.
In attack
Although Marcus Rashford and Raheem Sterling will be in line to start, Southgate might be better off starting them on the bench.
Form dictates that Mason Mount should start the game just behind Harry Kane.
Out wide, Jack Grealish simply has to play. He has been in tremendous form and won England a penalty against Romania last week.

On the opposite flank, the England boss has to unleash Phil Foden.
He has been in sparkling form this season and deserves the chance at international level.
Here is how England’s team could look this afternoon:
