Aston Villa are in Premier League action tonight, facing Burnley at Villa Park.

Dean Smith’s side will be looking to follow up their weekend victory over Wolves with three more points against the Clarets, who have had a tough start in 2020/21.

Sean Dyche’s side could be in for a relegation battle this season, and currently sit 18th with nine points from 11 games.

But they did beat Arsenal last time out, and will head into tonight’s game feeling somewhat confident.

Smith will be forced to make changes due to injuries and suspensions but in goal, Emi Martinez will hope to continue his fine form.

After picking up five bookings, Matty Cash misses out through suspension, meaning Ahmed Elmohamady could get his first Premier League start.

Ezri Konsa, Tyrone Mings and Matt Targett should comprise the rest of the defence.

In midfield, Conor Hourihane could replace Douglas Luiz, who saw red against Wolves, with John McGinn his partner.

There’s a chance Ross Barkley will be back fit having been nursing a hamstring issue, and if he is then Smith will be keen to start him.

In attack, Trezeguet is out and there could be a start for £30,000-a-week star Anwar El Ghazi (Spotrac) after his match-winning penalty at Wolves.

Ollie Watkins should keep his place through the middle, with Jack Grealish on the left but roaming wherever, as he does.
