Predicted Arsenal XI v Everton: Two changes, £182k-a-week man starts

Arsenal take on Everton today looking to get back to winning ways following two consecutive home disappointments in a row.

Mikel Arteta will be looking for some of the spirit shown in the second half against Southampton, when the ten men Gunners wrestled a point from the in-form Saints.

However, that game came at a price for the Arsenal boss. He will be without star defender Gabriel Magalhaes, while Granit Xhaka is also still missing. Furthermore, Arteta has other big calls to make, with the likes of Reiss Nelson back in contention and Gabi Martinelli nearing fitness.

But Arteta won’t want to change too much, especially with enforced changes already within the XI. Eddie Nketiah and £182k-a-week striker Alexandre Lacazette will fight it out over the number nine spot, while David Luiz is likely to step in for Gabriel.

Here, then, is our predicted XI as Arsenal travel to Everton this evening.
