Predicted Arsenal XI v Crystal Palace: Pepe starts in only change for Arteta

Arsenal take on Crystal Palace this evening looking to build on what was a good run of form before the international break, albeit, a 0-0 draw with Brighton was hardly inspiring a few weeks back.

The Gunners come up against a former favourite in the form of Patrick Vieira, who is something of a legend in north London thanks to his hugely successful spell in the 90s and early 2000s.

For manager Mikel Arteta, there are just a few selection issues he has to contend with. But the reality is that he is likely to stick with the same starting XI that has been doing so well.

Thomas Partey should be fit enough to start, while Martin Odegaard – a £30m summer signing – should also keep his place. That will mean more frustration for the likes of Pepe, Lacazette, and Martinelli.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will likely be the number nine again, while Saka and Smith Rowe will continue to provide energy from wider areas.

Here, then, is how we see Arsenal lining up at Crystal Palace this evening.
