Predicted Arsenal XI at Burnley as Partey returns for Gunners
Arsenal travel to Turf Moor today to take on Burnley, as they look to build on finally getting their first win of the season last weekend.
A 1-0 win over Norwich was enough for Mikel Arteta’s men to get that all important first three points on the board at The Emirates. A goal from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, albeit a scrappy one, enough to see the Gunners over the line.
With Europe no longer an issue this season, Arteta can plan for Premier League games without the added worry of fatigue. And ahead of Burnley today, he has some good news when it comes to the first XI.
Arsenal v Burnley Team News
The Gunners have been boosted by the return of Thomas Partey this week and he should come straight back into the XI to face the Clarets.
On the flipside, there will likely be no place in the XI or squad for Emile Smith Rowe. The young midfielder is still struggling with injury, and could once again miss out.
In defence, Arteta is expected to name the same back four as last week, with Takehiro Tomiyasu likely to start once again at right-back.
Up top, options are looking more limited. Nicolas Pepe did well against Norwich and will hope to keep his place. Saka and Aubameyang, on the other hand, are almost certain to start.
With that, here’s our predicted XI for Arsenal as they travel to Turf Moor to face Sean Dyche’s Burnley today.
