Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose recently admitted that his future was uncertain. He conceded that he could leave and if so, he would like to “go out with a bang” by winning the Champions League (The Guardian).
If the England international departs, Spurs will need a new left-back. Ben Davies is on their books but many Spurs fans feel he is a back-up choice at best.
According to The Daily Star, Tottenham want Lucas Digne. The 25-year-old has been one of Everton’s best players this season since his summer arrival from Barcelona.
Digne has pushed Leighton Baines out of contention and has scored four goals and provided four assists for the Toffees.
At 25, he is three years younger than Rose. And Mauricio Pochettino could consider a swap deal involving these two players, according to this report.
Tottenham fans flocked to social media to discuss these rumours. Rose is clearly a fan favourite and many supporters do not want to see him leave.
But with the 28-year-old considering his options, should Spurs consider this swap deal for Digne? Here are some tweets discussing this proposal.

Don’t do it Digne decent player but can be indecisive occasionally in defensive roll and is not as good a crosser of the ball as Rose
