Reports from Spain have again highlighted Tottenham Hotspur’s potential interest in Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez.
Defensa Central is reporting that the Spaniard has spoken to Zinedine Zidane regarding his concerns over a lack of first-team football at the Spanish giants next season.
He is happy to stay but wants some assurances over playing time, which is difficult to come by considering Real’s plethora of attacking options.
The report claims Tottenham are willing to offer €16 million (£14.5m) for the player, which is nothing new. Reports suggesting the same thing have been rumbling around for some time now.

However, one interesting aspect of the latest report might have Tottenham fans interested.
The report states that Vazquez could be used as a right-back next season, a position he has sporadically operated under Zidane.
If Vazquez is genuinely a right-back option that should make him even more of a target for Tottenham.
Spurs are lacking in that position with just Serge Aurier currently on the books.
Vazquez could be the perfect option to not only bring in some attacking depth but also provide cover at right-back.
He certainly has the attributes of a top-quality right-back and Mourinho would relish the presence of such a utility man in his ranks.
Perhaps a deal for Vazquez should be on the cards, but not necessarily in the position many might consider.
