Hibernian striker Marc McNulty, who is on loan from Reading, was heavily criticised for being wasteful in front of goal for Scotland.
In an underwhelming international break for Scotland, they recovered from a 3-0 loss against Kazakhstan to limp to a 2-0 win over San Marino.
But they had chances to put more gloss on the score line with McNulty guilty of spurning two golden opportunities.
The 26-year-old, who has scored seven in nine for Hibs, came off the bench in the first-half, replacing Cardiff City utility man Callum Paterson.

But he failed to take his opportunity to impress and instead was sloppy in front of goal.
The ex-Coventry City striker was left unmarked in the box with the score at 2-0 but he could not direct his header on target.
And moments later, he missed another chance from inside the box as his effort was blocked by the San Marino goalkeeper.
Scotland fans were not impressed with their new striker, who was poor for Reading but has been so clinical for Hibernian.
Here are some tweets from Scotland supporters about McNulty’s cameo against San Marino.
