Manchester United remain inconsistent
After a run of strong performances against sides lower in the table, with three wins in their last four matches before the match against Swansea. However, they weren’t at it on Sunday and the visitors had the better of the early exchanges.
United didn’t deserve to win the game and were arguably lucky to have taken a point. Their penalty award was questionable and they didn’t do enough to put the game to bed, as had been the problem on countless occasions this season. The top four is now out of their hands and that will be a huge disappointment.
This season has been a mixed one for Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford. It is clear that he has made some progress with the squad this season and they are now starting to emerge as title contenders again.
They have lost only three times in the Premier League this season, but their total of 14 draws is not good enough. The players seem unable to play with confidence at home and their form at Old Trafford has to be corrected next season.
