Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino ought to pay close attention to Christian Pulisic’s performance against England closely, with the winger reportedly open to a move to the Premier League.
As reported by The Guardian, Pulisic is ready to embark on a new chapter after developing into one of Europe’s hottest prospects over the past couple of seasons with Borussia Dortmund.
Pulisic burst into the scene in early 2016, being promoted to Dortmund’s first-team after impressing with the U17s as a 16-year-old.
107 appearances later and Pulisic’s stock is sky high.
Pulisic has admitted he’d perhaps be open to trading the Bundesliga for the Premier League, with Chelsea the apparent early favourites before the opening of the transfer window in January.
Liverpool have also been linked with Pulisic in the past, and could provide stiff competition for Spurs, who were linked with the American themselves earlier this year.
Pulisic vs England
On Thursday the USA take on England at Wembley Stadium in a friendly match.
Many people will be tuning in to watch Wayne Rooney make his farewell appearance in a Three Lions shirt.
It’s likely many scouts and managers alike will be paying close attention to the game, and Pochettino may want to see how Pulisic fares against some of his players.
Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Eric Dier could all take part, with Kieran Trippier having pulled out due to injury and Danny Rose snubbed this time around.
Pulisic would likely flourish at Spurs; he’s a young player and Pochettino could take him to the next level. He’s quick, creative and extremely versatile, and may enjoy playing his football in a brand new stadium.
