Mauricio Pochettino believes Harry Kane could be available to play for Tottenham in the Champions League final – if they make it.
According to the Guardian, Pochettino has backed England captain Kane to carry on his record of recovering early from injury problems to make it for the final in Madrid on June 1.
He said: “My gut is maybe he can be available [for the Champions League final], because I know Harry Kane, the determination to work and to be focused and recover as soon as possible.
“But I am not a doctor. This is only my gut. I hope he can be available. He’s doing well but today I cannot guess. He can be available before or after – that is going to depend on his rehab. Now he is in a very good period that is going forward quick but always the last moment is the most difficult – to take the decision to play or not.”

As we’ve seen before, Kane has a habit of rushing back from injuries but whether that’s a good thing is up for debate.
It can take him a while to get up and running and while his supreme finishing means that his goals tend to individually return immediately, the fluidity of the team can take a hit.
Tottenham are now a team who know how to win without Kane, and with the Champions League final set to be against Barcelona or Liverpool – both teams against whom Spurs can play on the break – they could win without Kane.
But of course the first stage is to reach the final in the first place, and against an outstanding Ajax side, that’s no easy task.
