‘Poch will do wonders’ – Tottenham fans react as Jack Clarke becomes first summer signing

Tottenham Hotspur have kickstarted their summer spending with the capture of Leeds United starlet Jack Clarke, the club’s official website has announced. Clarke has signed a long-term deal until summer 2023 and will spend the 2019/20 season on loan at Leeds to aid his development.

Clarke has already played 25 games for Leeds despite his young age. The 18-year-old only made his debut last season but he has two goals and two assists to his name. His performances earned him the Young Player of the Year accolade for Leeds.

The exciting teenager is a lively winger who is not afraid of taking players on. Tottenham fans have high hopes for Clarke after he returns from another season in the Championship.

Upon joining Tottenham, Clarke said: “It’s one of the biggest clubs in England, if not the world, and I’m delighted to be a part of it.” If he fulfils his potential, he can be an exciting player for Tottenham.
