‘Please please do not sign him’: Some Arsenal fans react after hearing who they’ve been linked with

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the report claiming the Gunners are working to sign Dan-Axel Zagadou.

Duncan Castles claimed on the Transfer Window Podcast that Arsenal have been interested in the Borussia Dortmund defender for a while now.

The report claims that Arsenal have already done a lot of work in trying to bring Zagadou to the Emirates Stadium.

The 21-year-old has recently suffered a season-ending knee injury, so it remains to be seen whether Arsenal try to finalise a deal now or decide to wait until he recovers fully, added the report.

Zagadou, who has one year left on his Dortmund contract, joined the Bundesliga club from Paris Saint-Germain in 2017 and has made 73 competitive appearances in black and yellow.

However, he has struggled with injury problems for much of the season, and has made just 13 appearances in 2020-21.

Given Zagadou’s injury record and the fact he’s a left-footed centre-back, an area in which Arsenal are currently well stocked, there’s not much enthusiasm in this report from the Gunners fanbase.
