Liverpool have confirmed that Harvey Elliott has returned to the club after suffering an injury with England’s U-21 squad.
The Reds announced on their official website that the teenager midfielder had withdrawn from the Three Lions after aggravating an issue that forced Elliott out of this week’s clash against Kosovo.
Elliott suffered an injury for Liverpool against Chelsea before the international break. However, the 18-year-old was deemed fit enough to play for England’s U-21 squad.

Whilst it is unknown if the injury is serious or not, Elliott returning to Liverpool could be the youngster’s best shot at minimising any more potential damage.
The winger has been one of Liverpool’s best performing players so far this season. The £4.3m signing from Fulham starred against Burnley whilst also started from the off against Chelsea.
Injuries crippled Liverpool last season, with Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez both missing the entire campaign and the likes of Joel Matip and Alisson Becker suffering various problems throughout the year.

With Roberto Firmino, Takumi Minamino and James Milner already on the injury table this season, Liverpool fans are worried that this update to Elliott could be a sign of more problems to come.
