West Ham United fans are thrilled over a follow-up transfer report they’ve read involving Hammers target Callum Wilson.
TBR Football exclusively confirmed on Wednesday that West Ham have agreed terms in principle over Wilson, who is currently a free agent.
Michail Antonio has left West Ham, while new signing Daniel Cummings is likely to be one for the future, so the Hammers could do with more options.
However, the prospect of signing Wilson – a 33-year-old free agent who has had his fair share of injury issues in recent years – hasn’t gone down tremendously well among fans.
That said, there is now the possibility Wilson may go elsewhere, with another club reported to have joined the race for Wilson.

West Ham fans hope Al-Ettifaq sign Callum Wilson instead
According to Ben Jacobs, Saudi Pro League club Al-Ettifaq are now in the picture for Callum Wilson.
The transfer journalist claimed that, while nothing is advanced yet, Al-Ettifaq are exploring a move for Wilson, who is firmly on their radar.
Al-Ettifaq are prioritising a striker this summer and they are currently trying to sign Dutch free agent Luuk de Jong, but if he rejects them, they will move on to Wilson, added Jacobs.
Needless to say, this transfer rumour has gone down well among West Ham fans, who hope Al-Ettifaq swoop in and sign Wilson instead of them.
“Let’s hope it happens,” one fan wrote on X. “We would be eternally grateful to Al-Ettifaq.”
Another joked: “If this happens, I am an Al-Ettifaq fan, biggest club in Saudi for a reason!”
The calls for Al-Ettifaq to sign Wilson kept coming, with one fan saying: “Make it quick please Al-Ettifaq so we can focus on what is desperately needed – midfielders with pace and energy.”
Another fan said: “Yes Al-Ettifaq, sign Wilson, that will do us a favour, Irons!”
Another joked: “Always been a fan of Al-Ettifaq since I was a kid. Massive club imo.”

Who West Ham have already signed this summer
The Hammers haven’t been particularly active in the transfer window this summer, with just three signings on board.
Defender Jean-Clair Todibo has signed permanently for the Hammers, who took up their option to buy him from Nice after his loan stint last season.
Midfielder El Hadji Malick Diouf has joined from Slavia Prague for around £18million, while Kyle Walker-Peters has arrived on a free transfer after his Southampton contract expired.
