‘Please be true’: Tottenham fans react to latest Antonio Conte reports

Tottenham fans are once again enduring a stressful weekend of footballing action and rumour, as the pressure continues to grow on manager Nuno Santo.

Yesterday’s loss against Manchester United was another woeful day in what is turning into a miserable first half of the season for Spurs. Manager Santo was booed off at the end along with his players, while fans also turned against Harry Kane during the game.

And following the defeat, the rumour mill is already doing into overdrive in terms of potential Nuno replacements. And one man who’s got Tottenham fans talking on Twitter, is Antonio Conte.

Alfredo Pedulla claims that talks are underway with Conte to come to Tottenham. It’s suggested that Fabio Paratici is desperate to bring the Italian to North London, and that he has even got the backing of Daniel Levy.

But while Conte’s name is a big one, some Tottenham fans are sceptical about the latest rumour. The feeling across social media is that while Conte would be a great appointment, there is simply no chance it happens.
