‘Please be true’: Arsenal fans react as Gunners linked with Ibrahima Konate

Arsenal are being linked with a move for RB Leipzig defender, Ibrahima Konate, and some Gunners fans have been reacting to the news on Twitter.

Konate, 21, is a full French under-21 international and is highly-rated both in Germany and France. He’s already approaching 100 career appearances, too.

And according to BILD, he has caught the eye of Mikel Arteta, who is keen on bringing in a new defender in January or the summer, with a number of his current defensive options facing uncertain futures.

One of those is William Saliba, who gets a mention from some of the Arsenal fans on social media. But in the main, the reaction to potentially signing Konate has hugely positive.
