'Playing Thursday then', 'probably': Some Spurs fans react to U23s omission ahead of Vitesse clash
A number of Spurs fans have speculated that Dane Scarlett will be in the Tottenham Europa Conference League squad to face Vitesse in midweek.
Scarlett, one of the most talented youngsters in the Spurs ranks, has already made three senior appearances this season, all in the Europa Conference League.
The 17-year-old has also made the bench for a number of Premier League games this term, as well as featuring in two Premier League 2 matches for the Under-23s.
Scarlett wasn’t in the senior squad for Sunday’s league win at Newcastle, but he also wasn’t in the Under-23s squad for the PL2 meeting with West Ham on Monday.
Here is what some Spurs fans said in response to Scarlett’s omission:

Scarlett is a truly exciting talent who looks set for a bright future in the game.
Last season, the 17-year-old scored 25 goals in just 24 appearances at age level for Spurs.
Scarlett also made his Tottenham senior debut, featuring once in the Premier League and twice in the Europa League.
Former Spurs boss Jose Mourinho rated the young striker very highly.
“I know he’s still very young, just 17, and it’s probably too early for the next World Cup, but Tottenham have a striker in Dane Scarlett, who, if everything goes well, is going to be phenomenal,” he told The Times.
