Ibrahim Osman has now agreed to join Brighton – despite wanting to sign for West Ham in the January transfer window.
That is according to The Athletic.
So, what is the latest on Ibrahim Osman as West Ham miss out? Let’s take a look…
Brighton agree Ibrahim Osman deal
Well – according to the Daily Mail – West Ham offered £16m to sign the Ghanaian in January, although Nordsjaelland rejected the bid with Crystal Palace also interested.
The Daily Mail added that Osman was keen on a move to the London Stadium and wanted West Ham to increase the bid.
Ultimately, that did not happen, and the 19-year-old remained with Nordsjaelland.
Now, however – according to The Athletic – Osman will join Brighton this summer after a fee of €19.5m (£17m) was agreed between the Seagulls and Nordsjaelland.

David Ornstein writes that the teenager – who emerged from the Right to Dream Academy after Mohammed Kudus – has already completed a medical with Brighton.
Osman has impressed this season with four goals and five assists in 29 appearances for Nordsjaelland.
West Ham could regret January decision
You may have already worked out that Brighton managed to sign Osman for roughly £1m more than West Ham offered in January.
Therefore – if the Nordsjaelland No.14 becomes a success in the Premier League – West Ham will surely regret their decision not to put a bit more money on the table, especially as the forward was keen to join the Hammers.

It remains to be seen if Osman will succeed in English football, although Brighton have proven themselves to be superb recruiters across recent years, which suggests the exciting winger has a good chance of thriving.
Should that be the case, West Ham may look back on January 2024 and kick themselves – only time will tell if that turns out to be the case.
