Antonio Nusa has now provided an update on his fitness – amid reports Tottenham are keen to sign the Norwegian from Club Brugge.
Spurs were very interested throughout the January transfer window – with many expecting the Norway international to join the north Londoners.
However – as detailed by Football London – it was Brentford who eventually convinced Nusa to join in a £25m deal, due to the promise of immediate playing time and regular starts.
Despite that agreement, the 18-year-old ended up failing a medical with the Bees, and he remained with Club Brugge.
Nevertheless, Tottenham are still interested – according to Football London – and Antonio Nusa himself has now moved to ease doubts over his fitness…
Antonio Nusa tells Tottenham he is 100% fit
Well, the teenager sounds a little annoyed that news of his failed medical hit social media – and was also worried about the potential impact that development could have had on his career – but he is now looking ahead positively after discovering the red flag will not be a long term issue.

Nusa told VG: “I was close to going to Brentford, that’s the truth. Then it didn’t happen for a number of complicated reasons. There was a lot of fuss about it, a difficult time. I’ll be honest with you, so many things happened that I didn’t expect to happen. It became known on social media as well, but yes, that’s life. Now I’m just happy and glad that I was able to go through it and learn the things I saw.
“We wanted to find an explanation for what it really was as quickly as possible and got good help in Norway. We found a good solution and had it thoroughly checked, so it’s not something I need to stress about. We were worried of course. Something wasn’t right. It was important to get to the bottom of it. We’ve done that now. I was afraid there was something wrong with my body. Those were difficult times, but it wasn’t really a problem. That’s what we found out.”
Spurs likely to bid
In our view, Tottenham are very likely to bid for Nusa this summer after hearing this.
Brentford have since moved on – spending £30m to sign another forward from Club Brugge in Igor Thiago – so Tottenham could have a free run at the Norway international.

Ange Postecoglou certainly seems keen to sign another wide attacker – Wolves No.7 Pedro Neto is believed to be a primary target.
However, the Portugal international could cost up to £80m, so with Nusa valued closer to the £25m fee Brentford agreed in January, the Club Brugge No.32 would also be a much cheaper option.
