Arsenal have big plans after winning the Premier League title.
The Guardian believe the Gunners have the financial power to make a ‘marquee’ addition similar to the £105m signing of Declan Rice after securing a first Premier League title since 2004.
Eli Junior Kroupi is mentioned as an £80m target after Mikel Arteta made history, with Sandro Tonali, Neco Williams, Bradley Barcola, Anthony Gordon and Julian Alvarez also named.
However, there is one player Arsenal want more than anyone else, as the Guardian say Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is a ‘dream’ target for the new champions of England.
Arsenal dreaming of Kvaratskhelia deal – but Spurs could have got him for £20m
Back in 2022 shortly after the global pandemic, it was said that Tottenham rejected the chance to sign the Georgia international from Rubin Kazan for the measly sum of just £20m.
Christian Emile – a football agent working for CAA Base, an agency with close links to Spurs – told Fabrizio Romano: “All those clubs you mentioned were interested in Kvaratskhelia, more so the clubs you heard in the media in Germany, England and Italy. This was true.
“At that time, Rubin (Kazan) were asking £20m… but I think clubs were not so secure to spend this £20m in the Covid times, they didn’t have much background information about him because he’s not coming from a big football country.”
Napoli eventually took the plunge and agreed a reduced fee of £10m to sign Kvaratskhelia in July 2022 – who later sealed a £54.7m move to PSG in January 2025 after netting 30 goals and providing 29 assists in 107 appearances in Naples.
The Georgian is now a bona fide superstar after helping PSG win the UEFA Champions League last season, scoring 27 goals and assisting a further 18 in 79 games for the French giants so far.

Kvaratskhelia, who praised Arsenal in 2025, could even win a second successive UEFA Champions League title if the 25-year-old can help PSG defeat the Gunners in Budapest on Saturday 30th May.
The PSG No.7 is a highly ambitious target for Arsenal, and the Guardian say those at the Parc des Princes are not expected to entertain any offers for the man born in Tbilsi this summer.
However, in a season where Tottenham could still go down while Arsenal celebrate winning the title, it would only rub salt in the wounds for Spurs if the Gunners use their newfound status as champions of England to sign a player those in N17 could have landed for just £20m.
