Joelinton and Nick Pope have told Miguel Almiron that they think he has been Newcastle United’s best player in October.
Almiron put in another impressive display yesterday as the Magpies picked up a massive win against Tottenham Hotspur.
Eddie Howe’s men ran out 2-1 winners in north London and Almiron got on the scoresheet with a brilliant solo effort in the first-half.
The 28-year-old outmuscled Ryan Sessegnon and skipped past Clement Lenglet before producing a clever finish from a difficult angle to beat Hugo Lloris.
And off the back of yet another goal for the midfielder, two of his teammates agree that he has been their best player over the past month.

Almiron has been Newcastle’s best player
Almiron posted a picture of himself on Instagram after yesterday’s win and several Newcastle players responded.
Joelinton said: “Player of the month.”
And Pope certainly agreed with the Brazilian as he responded to his comment with: “What he said.”
The Paraguayan also drew praise from Joe Willock, Bruno Guimaraes, Sven Botman and Jacob Murphy.
Almiron has been seriously impressive for Newcastle this month and yesterday’s goal was his fifth in just six appearances in October.

The midfielder had struggled to find consistent form before this season but has really stepped his performances up to a new level.
Howe’s men now sit fourth in the Premier League table after a brilliant run of form over the past month. The Magpies haven’t lost since the end of August and have won four out of their last five games.
Almiron has played a huge part in this run as he’s scored some important goals, including a stunning winning goal against Everton during the week.
Howe will be hoping the player can continue his scoring streak as Newcastle aim to maintain their position in the table.
