That is because Fulham have told Palhinha that he will not leave this month, according to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.

Well, Arsenal have been linked with Fulham defensive midfielder Joao Palhinha in the January transfer window.
Journalist Ben Jacobs told GIVEMESPORT in December that Arsenal “really admire” Palhinha and could try to sign the Portugal international in the January transfer window.

Jacobs noted that Arsenal will have to “find the finances within Financial Fair Play” rules to get a deal done for Palhinha.

Liverpool have been linked with the 28-year-old former Sporting Lisbon defensive midfielder as well.
Fulham will not sell Joao Palhinha
Arsenal, though, are now facing a big hurdle in their quest to sign Joao Palhinha from Fulham in the January transfer window.
Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has reported on X that Fulham have directly told the player and his agents that they will not sell him this month.
Plettenberg has said that Palhinha is “very disappointed” as he was keen on a move to defending champions Bayern Munich.
Palhinha has been on the books of Fulham since 2022 and is one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League.
The 28-year-old has made 17 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League this season. He has scored two goals and given one assist in those games.
Palhinha has made 53 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. The defensive midfielder has scored five goals and given one assist in those games.
