Ange Postecoglou has been one of the best managers in the Premier League this season with Tottenham.
The Australian has taken the Premier League by storm this term. His attractive brand of football has put Spurs back amongst the top four conversation, while his handling of press conferences has made him a real media darling.
Postecoglou has barely put a foot wrong since taking over at Tottenham, and after Jurgen Klopp announced last month that he’d be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season, there’s been speculation around a move to Anfield for the Spurs boss.
Speaking on the Echo Of Glory Podcast, Australian midfielder, James Holland, has been discussing the idea of Postecoglou heading to Liverpool.
Holland has worked with Postecoglou before, and he reckons that the Australian wouldn’t take the Liverpool job at this point as he believes he’s a man of principle who would want to finish the job he’s started at Tottenham.

Ange Postecoglou wouldn’t take the Liverpool job
Holland spoke about the Spurs manager.
“It’s a tough one. I think Ange is a man of principle right. I can’t see him making that decision yet. I don’t know if he’s thinking about it, it’s hard to say. Liverpool I think were his boyhood club, but I can’t see him jumping ship in the short-term, he’s too much of a man of principle, and he has too much of a cool project going on there,” Holland said.
“He’s done everything his own way, he’s a good guy and to see him get the recognition for everything is great. The fact he’s at Tottenham and he’s being spoken about for the Liverpool job is good to see and he really deserves it.”
Too loyal
We can’t see Postecoglou jumping ship at Tottenham after just one year.
If there’s one thing you can tell about Postecoglou just by listening to him speak it’s that he’s loyal.
A move to Liverpool would appeal to him on some sort of level, but he’s given Tottenham his word and signed a contract, so we can’t see him jumping ship at this juncture.
It would be a huge shock if Postecoglou ditched Spurs after just one season, that’s for sure.
