‘Played brilliant’: Arsenal fans praise Martin Odegaard despite Aston Villa loss

Arsenal lost out at Aston Villa today but some Gunners fans were impressed with the cameo appearance from new signing, Martin Odegaard.

The Norwegian midfielder was introduced in the second half and showed some nice touches to try and bring the Gunners back into the game.

However, it was not to be for Arsenal in the end. Coincidentally, despite making a good impact, it was indeed Odegaard who missed the best chance of the game, firing over from just inside the box from Bukayo Saka’s cutback.

But overall, Odegaard caught the eye with some nice touches, a good weight of pass, and his willingness to get on the ball.

Arsenal fans on Twitter seemed to pick up on Odegaard’s impact, too. A number of supporters were quick to praise him, and although his wasn’t great, he still left an impression.
