PL club reportedly want Arsenal duo, Arteta needs £130k-a-week Gunners fan he wants in swap - TBR View

After years of speculation, Wilfried Zaha may finally get his move away from Crystal Palace this summer, with Mikel Arteta and Arsenal amongst those linked ahead of the transfer window.

The Eagles probably cannot remember the last time Zaha was not heavily linked with the Selhurst Park exit.

And these last few months have proved no different. According to a report from 90 min in April, Arsenal want the 28-year-old.

And Palace may feel that the time is right to sell. The report claims that his contract has two years left to run. He currently earns £130,000-a-week, according to the Guardian.

Encouragingly for Arsenal, 90 min suggested that Zaha – who supports the Gunners – wanted to stay in London. But they did suggest that they may have to sell players to fund a move for the Ivory Coast international.

However, perhaps more recent reports leave Arsenal with the perfect opportunity to land the forward’s signature.

According to Football London last week, Palace have enquired about Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

Fabrizio Romano meanwhile, has suggested that the Eagles are one of the clubs keen on Eddie Nketiah.

So surely Arsenal need to suggest a players-plus-cash swap for the attacker.

It was previously suggested that the Gunners have set an asking price of £20 million for both players.

So that could potentially cut around £40 million off a potential fee for Zaha.

Arteta must surely suggest swap bid to bring Zaha to Arsenal

Admittedly, offering two Palace targets in a swap would still not make reaching an agreement easy.

The two clubs will probably still struggle to agree an overall fee. But it is surely a move that both clubs can get on board with.

Arsenal, unfortunately, will struggle to find places in the side for Maitland-Niles and Nketiah.

Meanwhile, Palace know that Zaha’s value is only going to decrease if he does not sign a fresh deal.

So surely a swap makes perfect sense.
