Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has taken to Instagram to praise Spurs teammates Harry Kane and Son Heung-min for their record-breaking exploits this season.

Jose Mourinho’s charges are now fully back on track in the Premier League, having won their last three games in the competition and scoring four in two of those.

Kane and Son have forged an almost telepathic understanding this season, regularly combining to find the back of the net.

In Sunday’s 4-1 win over Crystal Palace, the two forwards combined for their 14th league goal of the season, and in doing so, broke a record which stood since the mid-1990s.

Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton previously held the record, which stood at 13, from their league-winning campaign of 1994-95.

And Hojbjerg was eager to pay tribute to the prolific duo, sharing an Instagram story describing them as “absolutely brilliant”:

As well as their joint efforts, Kane’s 40 contributions in 36 games across all competitions is the most of any Premier League player this season.

In addition, Spurs became just the second side in Europe’s big five leagues – after Bayern Munich – to notch up 100 goals in the 2020-21 campaign.
