Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has yet again made it clear that he is potentially looking at a move away from Southampton this summer, although no bids have reportedly been made for the Danish star.
It was reported in January that the Saints star was on Tottenham’s radar as a potential midfield recruit in the summer. Sky Sports suggested that the North London club were preparing a potential £35 million offer for the 24-year-old Saints captain.

Now, speaking to Sport1, as relayed by the Daily Echo, Hojbjerg has admitted his dream of winning the Premier League and playing in the Champions League, hinting at a move to a top English club.
“I want to play at an even higher level than I am currently. The relationship between me and Southampton is fantastic.
“The club gave me the platform to grow. I’m not saying ‘Goodbye’ and I’m focused on my club, but my goal is very clear: I want to win the Premier League and the Champions League…
“…When I was 23 I became a captain in a Premier League club. Now I’m hungry to get to the next level.”
Of course, Tottenham will be pleased to hear this considering their apparent interest.
However, the Evening Standard has suggested Tottenham only had ‘tentative’ interest in the midfielder during January whilst Daily Echo journalist Dan Sheldon suggested that neither Tottenham or Everton, who have also been credited with an interest, have made an approach for the player.
Whatever the case, it certainly appears that Hojbjerg is open to the idea of heading to Spurs this summer should the North London side decide to follow up on their apparent interest.
