Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sends message to Arsenal fans after reaching 51 Premier League goals

Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has taken to Twitter with a message for the club’s fanbase the day after becoming the fastest Gunners player to get to 50 Premier League goals.

The 31-year-old netted a brace against top-flight strugglers Norwich City, while Granit Xhaka and Cedric Soares also got on the scoresheet at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal had gone into the fixture on the back of two wins and, just after the half-hour mark, had the breakthrough.

On 33 minutes, Aubameyang made the most of Tim Krul’s hesitation to take the ball from the keeper and slot into the empty net.

Xhaka then doubled the lead four minutes later with a powerful low effort to give Arsenal a commanding half-time lead.

The Gabon star got his second and his 19th of the Premier League this season in the 67 minute, coolly converting after another Norwich error at the back, this time from Josip Drmic.

Cedric came off the bench to make his Arsenal debut with 15 minutes to go and went on to round off the scoring with an effort from distance.

Following his heroics on Wednesday, reaching the half-century milestone and adding another for good measure, Aubameyang sent the following message to the Arsenal fanbase:
