Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has issued a rallying cry to his Gunners teammates – and confirmed his happiness at the club after some surprise summer transfer speculation.
The 30-year-old was speaking to Sky Sports and insisted his focus is on winning trophies with the north London outfit.

He said: “I feel that we can change something in this club and we will try. Now it’s time to win trophies.”
Aubameyang is yet to scoop any silverware since his £56 million move (BBC Sport) to the club from Borussia Dortmund in 2018, coming closest to doing so in last season’s Europa League final, which Chelsea won 4-0.
On a personal note, the Gabonese talisman has been in scintillating form since arriving in English football, which led to surprise links (Tuttosport) to Manchester United over the summer.

If fans were still concerned about that, they need not be now, with Aubameyang adding: “I’m sure we can do it and I am honestly happy to be here.
“I feel very good. For the next few years we want to play at a high level and win trophies. That’s what we are talking about.”
TBR’s view
Aubameyang’s comments are exactly what the Arsenal faithful want to hear.

The striker has been a revelation since his arrival and the club can’t afford to lose him if they are going to make a genuine challenge for silverware this season.
Not only is Aubameyang a quality player, but he leads by example. Granit Xhaka may have just been made club captain, but the £200,000-a-week star’s (Spotrac) importance as a leader mustn’t be understated.
