Arsenal Transfer News: Photo shows Mykhaylo Mudryk at Chelsea's Stamford Bridge to end any doubt on deal
Well, it seems to be done and dusted. Mykhaylo Mudryk is now a Chelsea player and with that Arsenal’s long-winded pursuit of the winger ends.
Mudryk has opted to sign for Chelsea despite making it clear he fancied moving to Arsenal. The Ukrainian is believed to have been offered huge money by the Blues, making Mudryk’s mind up alongside a seven year contract.
For Arsenal, Edu, Arteta and the supporters, it’s a bitter blow. This is twice in a month Chelsea have trumped them, after the Blues signed Joao Felix on loan as well.
And in what looks like being the final nail in the coffin for Arsenal’s Mudryk saga, the winger has been spotted at Stamford Bridge ahead of Chelsea v Crystal Palace.
Shared on Twitter by Fabrizio Romano, Mudryk can be seen enjoying a warm welcome at The Bridge with Dario Srna.
Mudryk will hope to make his debut in the next week or so and will be keen to see his new team win out against Palace today.
For Arsenal, it’s now a case of looking elsewhere. The Gunners are expected to pursue a number of avenues, with players like Raphinha, Ferran Torres and others likely to be considered.
