Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has been putting his players through their paces ahead of their trip to West Ham on Saturday.

The Magpies are in fine form right now, having won their last three Premier League games in a row.

Newcastle had only won once in the league prior to 23 January.

But now, they are now hoping for a fourth consecutive top-flight victory.

The Magpies now sit four points clear of the Premier League’s bottom three.

In Saturday’s early kickoff, Newcastle will be taking on a team that has stuttered somewhat in recent weeks.

West Ham have won one, drawn one and lost two of their last four games in the league.

On Wednesday, the Newcastle website published photos of their players at Darsley Park.

As well as the first-teamers, Michael Ndiweni was pictured in the training session.

The 18-year-old is one of the brightest talents within the Newcastle ranks.

Ndiweni earned a spot in The Guardian’s Next Generation 2020 feature, highlighting 20 of the best young talents at Premier League clubs.

The Throckley-born striker “possesses a very decent right foot and an outstanding character”. He has 12 goals from 13 age-level appearances this term.

Ndiweni has eight goals from 10 U18 Premier League matches. He also has three from two FA Youth Cup clashes, and one from one EFL Trophy appearance.

The youngster has also played for the Under-23s on two occasions. He has one goal from his two Premier League 2 appearances.

Although Newcastle now have serious financial muscle and could buy ready-made stars, it would be incredible if a homegrown star like Ndiweni went on to lead their line in years to come.
