England picked up an impressive win over Gareth Bale‘s Wales last night, and Tottenham Hotspur stars – past and present – had a mini-reunion at the end.

The Three Lions picked up a convincing win thanks to a brace from Marcus Rashford either side of a Phil Foden strike in the second half.

Neither Kane nor Bale managed to score, but they caught up for a quick chat in the end along with a few other Tottenham-associated players.

England were the favourites to win the game yesterday, and they did just that.

Sadly for Bale and co, that brought an end to their World Cup campaign, which has been a shocking one. Wales picked up just one point from their three games, and their performance – individually and collectively – were really, really poor.

Bale would’ve surely been disappointed, but he hid it well after the game.

Right after the referee blew the final whistle, players from both sides went up to each other and shook hands. Bale, who was on the bench, came onto the pitch to do the same, and he bumped into a few familiar faces.

Cameras showed Kane, Bale, Eric Dier and even Kieran Trippier together, and it’s a picture that would’ve certainly brought back a few memories for Spurs supporters.

Harry Kane’s goal drought continues

England have scored nine goals in three games at the World Cup so far, but none of those have come from Kane’s boot. That is a bit of a shock.

The Tottenham star has been in fine form this season, scoring 13 goals and providing three assists for Spurs in all competitions. Everyone expected him to be England’s main man in front of goal, but that hasn’t happened so far.

However, that’s not a cause for concern yet.

Even though Kane hasn’t been scoring, he’s helping the team. The 29-year-old has three assists to his name already in the World Cup, and if he can carry that on and find his shooting boots, England could go on to achieve something special.
