Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly keen on signing Lazio goal-machine Ciro Immobile in the summer.
The report from 90min suggests that the Italian boss is keen on bringing his countryman to Goodison Park for next season.
It would undoubtedly be a big move for Everton, but also leave one current Everton striker struggling to justify his place in the team.
Moise Kean arrived last summer from Juventus for a reported (The Mirror) £27.5 million. He has, however, struggled in the Premier League, scoring just once in 26 games. With Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison also in fine form, Immobile would force Kean further down the pecking order.
This picture highlights the fact both Kean and Immobile are good friends when on the pitch. The image was taken after Kean had scored his first goal for the Azzurri. Immobile, who has often been criticised for his lack of goals with his national team, was quick to congratulate the youngster.
So hopefully, Immobile’s potential arrival could see him take Kean under his wing and help him become a Goodison Park hero.
However, it seems more likely that Immobile’s arrival might precipitate the departure of Kean.
