Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte has been putting his players through their paces ahead of Sunday’s north London derby with Arsenal.

Spurs haven’t played a Premier League game since New Year’s Day, when they ran out 1-0 winners at Watford.

Since then, Tottenham have faced Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-finals and overcame Morecambe in the FA Cup third round.

Conte currently has a couple of issues at the back, with Cristian Romero and Eric Dier unavailable for the game.

Davinson Sanchez, Ben Davies and Japhet Tanganga started in the back three against Chelsea.

However, Tanganga has been struggling of late, so Conte has some thinking to do in terms of selection.

On Friday, two academy players were pictured in first-team training – Malachi Fagan-Walcott and Maksim Paskotsi.

Fagan-Walcott, born in Edmonton, has risen through the ranks at his hometown club and has already made his Spurs debut.

In March 2020, he came on as a late substitute in the second leg of the Champions League, round of 16 tie away to RB Leipzig.

Fagan-Walcott subsequently suffered an injury that put him out for four months, limiting his chances for the rest of 2020.

He joined Scottish outfit Dundee on loan in January 2021, but came back two months later due to injury.

Now fit again, Fagan-Walcott has made 12 appearances for Spurs at age level this season, scoring twice.

In February last year, The Athletic described him as “an imposing centre-back, a threat from set pieces and popular with Mourinho.”

Meanwhile, Paskotsi has been making waves in the Spurs academy since joining in September 2020.

The 18-year-old had already debuted for Flora Tallinn’s senior team when he arrived at N17.

Paskotsi marked his debut for Spurs’ Under-18s with a goal, an assist and a clean sheet.

Since then, the Estonian has clocked up one Spurs senior appearance, plus 25 for Tottenham at age level.

He is also a fully-fledged Estonia international, boasting an impressive 11 caps at senior level.
