Tottenham Hotspur are back in training this week, albeit without their World Cup stars.
With the tournament taking place in mid-season, clubs like Spurs have been able to take stock and plan ahead.
And those players who aren’t competing at the World Cup have had some time off.

Now, Antonio Conte and his coaches have been putting their remaining players through their paces.
Monday was their first day back.
As per football.london, they were put through the sort of drills and tests that occur on the first day of pre-season.
Afterwards, the squad headed out to the pitches to take part in ball work.
With quite a few Spurs players at the World Cup, Conte called up a number of youth players.
This is partly to make up the numbers and partly to take a closer look at who’s been impressing in the academy teams.
One player who made the cut is Maksim Paskotsi, one of the most highly rated defenders in the Tottenham ranks.
The 19-year-old has been making waves in the Spurs academy since joining in September 2020.

Paskotsi had already debuted for Flora Tallinn’s senior team when he arrived at N17.
He hit the ground running for Spurs’ Under-18s with a goal, an assist and a clean sheet.
In addition, the Estonian already has 16 senior caps for his nation.
‘Should be available for future selection’
However, Paskotsi hasn’t played competitive football since June this year.
According to Spurs expert John Wenham, aka Lilywhite Rose, the youngster had a heart condition that has since been addressed.
Paskotsi, who has been compared to Cristian Romero, recently made the Spurs U21 bench against Chelsea.
It’s good to hear he is on the right track and it’s great to see Conte give him minutes in training.
