Arsenal take on Tottenham today in the big NLD at The Emirates and will no doubt be relying heavily on the form of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The striker has scored one of the two goals the Gunners have mustered this season in the Premier League. But he knows he must do more to help his team. Indeed, a return to his Golden Boot winning form would do just nicely for Arsenal supporters.

But with Spurs the opponents, Aubameyang has looked in good spirits ahead of the game. More so, the striker seemed to love being around new signing and surprise fan favourite, Aaron Ramsdale. In pictures doing the rounds on Twitter, ‘Auba’ is seen embracing and sharing a joke with the former Sheffield United man.

Ramsdale was seen as a high-risk signing for The Gunners in the summer. But he has performed well since being thrown in. He’s kept clean-sheets on both his PL starts, adding to the one he managed in the cup.

Both players, you feel, will be integral for Arsenal today.

TBR’s View: Ramsdale and Aubameyang vital for Arsenal

If the Gunners want to win today then they need Aubameyang to fire at one end, and Ramsdale to be on his toes at the other.

Harry Kane has beaten Ramsdale before. Comfortably, in fact, while he was at Sheffield United. That will give the Spurs skipper some confidence.

But Ramsdale does seem to have silenced the doubters since he moved to The Emirates. He’s already something of a fan favourite and a big performance today will only cement that notion.
