Talented Arsenal centre-back Taylor Foran has been spotted in training with the first team in Dubai. Mikel Arteta has taken a number of starlets with him on the tour and it would appear that Foran is one of them.

The Gunners return to action on Boxing Day. They face a London-derby against West Ham and will hope to maintain their position at the summit of the Premier League.

Arsenal enjoyed a fantastic first half of 2022/23. They currently sit five points clear of Manchester City and it will be intriguing to see if they can actually get over the line this season.

It would be some story if they do. Arsenal are yet to finish in the top four of the Premier League under Arteta. Last season, the club weren’t even in Europe following a drab time of things the season previous.

The training camp in Dubai should be useful to the squad. Not only that but it would appear that it’s going to be an invaluable experience for several members of the academy ranks.

Foran looks like an important player for the future. During 2022/23, he’s made nine appearances for the under-23 outfit and has also played four times in the Papa John’s Trophy.

The 19-year-old has played in an under-23 side that’s yet to taste defeat this season. Arsenal have also lost just once at the senior level during 2022/23 and spirits are extremely high at the Emirates Stadium.

Clearly, the club is on the up. With a decent gap between Arsenal and fourth, reaching the Champions League looks like a foregone conclusion this season.

Foran won’t be making an impact during 2022/23. He’s still raw but as an uncompromising figure, he looks set for a bright future at the North London-based club.

Rubbing shoulders with the senior professionals should put him in good shape. Now, he will hope to continue starring with the under-23s and make his debut in the next year or two.
