Arsenal have hit form at just the right time, with the North London derby looming ever closer.

The Gunners began the season poorly, but two clean-sheet Premier League wins in a row have boosted confidence.

In contrast, Spurs began the season well, but two consecutive 3-0 defeats in the top flight have dampened their mood.

Things are finally clicking for Arsenal and they’ll fancy their chances against their rivals at the Emirates.

In addition, the Gunners have some top talents coming through the ranks, who are featuring often in first-team training.

One of those pictured in Friday’s session is Karl Hein, the 19-year-old goalkeeper who recently penned a new deal with the club.

The 6ft 4in is already an established international, having won 10 senior caps for Estonia.

Although Hein is yet to make his competitive senior debut for Arsenal, he’s very much in the first-team picture now.

Quite literally – the 19-year-old in the latest first-team squad photo alongside Aaron Ramsdale, Bernd Leno and Isaac Okonkwo.

Hein still has an Under-23 squad number – 49 – and has started a couple of games for the U23s in the past few weeks.

But clearly Arteta thinks highly of him and, considering Bernd Leno’s uncertain future, could he be in line for some minutes this season?
