Philippe Coutinho shares whether Liverpool players have been in touch to ask a favour from Aston Villa
Philippe Coutinho is one of the players with Liverpool connections at Aston Villa ahead of tomorrow’s title showdown.
Villa travel to face Manchester City, who know that a win would seal the Premier League trophy in front of their own fans at the Etihad Stadium.
Coutinho, Danny Ings and of course Steven Gerrard are part of the masterplan to try and get a result for Villa which could hand Liverpool the title.
Coutinho was asked in an interview with the Times whether some of his former teammates have been in touch ahead of the huge afternoon.

Coutinho could win Liverpool the title
“They haven’t been in touch yet,” laughed about his former Reds teammates.
“It will be a very good game against a top club, they’re fighting for the title and we’re fighting for our own things and for sure we want to give our best in all the games.
“All I’m thinking about is Aston Villa. The main thing is consistency.
“The atmosphere in the stadium with the supporters is amazing. It’s a great club to be a part of and with the ambitions we have we know we can push up the table.”
Midfielder Coutinho made a flying start at Villa but has tailed off somewhat and as he said, the key for him is to find some consistency.
Liverpool fans just want him to produce a trademark moment of magic which could win their side the Premier League tomorrow.
What a story that would be on an afternoon which also sees Jack Grealish face the club he left in search of regular trophies.
