‘Phenomenal’: Some fans wowed by how good Liverpool player was last night

Liverpool fans have been raving about Reds star Virgil van Dijk’s latest performance for the Netherlands.

The Anfield powerhouse played the full 90 minutes as the Oranje ran out 6-1 winners over Turkey in Amsterdam.

Van Dijk clocked up some impressive stats – 95 percent passing, 84 out of 88 passes completed, 12 long passes and 94 touches of the ball.

And once again, nobody was able to dribble past him.

Liverpool and Netherlands fans alike missed Van Dijk tremendously last season due to his long-term injury.

And there were moments of real anxiety when he went down following a heavy collision in the World Cup qualifier late on.

Van Dijk was down on the ground for a brief spell and was walking gingerly afterwards.

Luckily, he said he was fine in his post-match interview.
