A number of Arsenal fans have welcomed the Gunners announcement confirming Takehiro Tomiyasu is the club’s Player of the Month for September.
The Arsenal defender received 51 percent of the votes cast, with Aaron Ramsdale in second and Emile Smith Rowe in third place.
Arsenal were in dire straits prior to Tomiyasu’s arrival, having lost their first three Premier League games of the season.

However, the 22-year-old has helped shore up the Gunners defence, who have conceded just once in September.
In addition, Tomiyasu helped Arsenal to 10 points out of 12 in September, which included an impressive 3-1 win over rivals Spurs.
It’s not taken long for Tomiyasu to become a fan favourite at the Emirates thanks to his talent, attitude and love for the club.
Indeed, Arsenal fans were delighted to see him win the September POTM award:
Arsenal signed Tomiyasu from Bologna in a £19.8million deal on deadline day.
He signed a four-year deal at the Emirates Stadium, with the option of a fifth.
Up next for Arsenal, after the international break, is Crystal Palace at the Emirates on Monday 18 October.
