Former Leeds United striker Jermaine Beckford says that the signing of Brenden Aaronson has really impressed him.
Aaronson made his first competitive start in the 2-1 win over Wolves to kick off the Premier League season and caught Beckford’s eye.
Beckford told the official Leeds United podcast how impressed he has been with the 21-year-old new-boy already so far.
Aaronson was denied being awarded the winning goal of the game as it went down as an own goal by Wolves defender Rayan Ait-Nouri.

Leeds old boy Beckford impressed by Aaronson
He said: “I thought Aaronsson has a phenomenal, phenomenal debut. He’s a really exciting player by the way.
“He’s one of those guys who picks the ball up and his change of pace is very, very sharp, he’s very quick and his awareness is great.
“His weight of pass as well is sublime.
“What I liked and enjoyed about him is that when Pat received the ball out wide and zinged the ball across the box, last season we didn’t really see the midfield players breaking the lines to get into the box, but we saw that on Saturday.
“That’s something else I’m excited to see.”
Leeds have backed their manager Jesse Marsch in the transfer window and allowed him to reshape the squad to his will.
The club were patient over Aaronson, who was a target in the January transfer window, before they got him at the start of this summer.
He is already showing why they were so keen to sign him and he will hope to keep those impressive performances going as the season progresses.
