A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have been hailing Tanguy Ndombele’s display for Spurs last night en route to the League Cup final.
The 24-year-old was named in the starting XI for the semi-final clash against Brentford in North London, and played the full 90 minutes as he put in a standout performance.
Ndombele’s main contribution was his superb assist for Son Heung-min for Tottenham’s second goal in the 70th minute, skilfully threading the ball through the Bees defence.

As well as his assist, the France international worked hard throughout, was a constant thorn in the Brentford midfielders’ side, and had a chance to make it three in the second half.
Ndombele has certainly had his fair share of critics over the past year but his performance last night showed his importance to the team and how he can continue being key for Mourinho.
Here is what some Spurs fans were saying about the midfielder on social media:
The League Cup final takes place in April this year, with Spurs taking on one of Manchester United or Manchester City in the showpiece.
Up next for Tottenham is their FA Cup third-round tie away at Marine on Sunday.
