Former Spurs striker, Peter Crouch, believes Jose Mourinho may not trust Gareth Bale, after once again only bringing him off the bench last night.
Even when Harry Kane went off injured, Mourinho opted to bring on Erik Lamela instead of Bale. The Welshman was eventually introduced to the game, but with just ten minutes remaining and Liverpool already 3-1 up.

And Crouch, who was speaking on the game for BT Sport last night, believes something is not right with Bale, citing a potential lack of trust.
“You do worry for him. He’s come here, there’s a lot of expectation, I don’t know what’s been happening but he can’t be doing it in training. I don’t think Mourinho trusts him in the big games,” Crouch said.
Bale has not had the desired impact many thought he would since his arrival from Madrid in the summer. His move was lauded at the time, with many Spurs fans hoping to see the player they had prior to his departure.

However, Bale has made the starting XI in the PL just once, scoring the single goal when he has eventually got minutes.
TBR View: Is Bale just not the same player?
Nobody can question the quality Bale can bring to a team. He’s proven right at the very top level.
But at the moment, something is not clicking. And Crouch might have a point. There is definitely something Jose Mourinho is not fancying about the Welshman.
With Kane out, the time will be now really for Bale to impress and kick on. If he can’t do it with the Spurs talisman out, then the writing is really on the wall.
